At Polonious World in May 17, Bob Lysaught shared some thoughts about his firm, the Fraud industry and his company’s adoption of Polonious.

The extensive features of Polonious, including monthly reports, provides all the information the investigation team needs

With a wealth of investigation management experience built up over the past 15 years, Brooksight Investigations had many opportunities to streamline its mature operations.

Brooksight has its head office in Queensland, but provides investigation management services throughout Australia for a number of clients, including most of the insurers in Australia.

Director Bob Lysaught says Brooksight is new to Polonious, with the application going into production in mid-2017.

“The new system was designed for us last year (2016) and we commenced using it on July 1, 2017, so it started with the new financial year,” he says.

Refining a range of processes (and cutting the paper)

Since adopting Polonious, Brooksight has been able to refine a range of different activities undertaken within the company.

“Just recently, through the use of Polonious, we’ve gone completely paperless which is saving us a lot of time and money,” Lysaught says. “A lot of features like the monthly reports provides all the information we need so we’re extremely happy with the way it’s going. Polonious has been a major attribute to our company.”

Saving time and materials with Polonious

With Brooksight’s transformation well underway, the company is now realising a number of financial benefits from using Polonious.

“The time used to process reports through the office has been cut down, therefore saving us money,” Lysaught says. “Actually, a major saving has been going paperless by using Polonious. That saved us money in paper and in printing and we are noticing a huge benefit from that.”

Tell us about your firm?
We’re an investigation firm, our head office is based in Queensland but we’re providing the
services right throughout Australia now for a number of clients. We’ve been lucky, we’ve
been going for 15 or so years and we’ve now built up a clientelle of most of the insurers in
Australia.

How long have you been using Polonious?
We’re only fairly new to Polonious. It was developed for us early last year (2016) and we
commenced using it on the 1st of July. So it started with the new financial year.

What does Polonious do for you?
Polonious has been a major attribute to our company. We’ve been able to refine a whole
lot of different activities that we undertake within the company and just recently, through
the use of Polonious, we’ve gone completely paper-less which is saving us a lot of time
and money. A lot of things like the monthly reports provides all the information we need for
those so we’re extremely happy with the way it’s going.

Have you seen any Financial Benefits from using Polonious?
Yes we have. In a number of ways in fact. The time used to process reports through the
office has been cut down therefore saving us money. Actually a major saving has been
going paperless by using Polonious. That saved us money in paper and in printing. We’re
noticing a huge benefit from that.

How are you enjoying the conference so far?
It’s been fantastic. I’ve really enjoyed it. All of the speakers so far extremely entertaining
and relevant to the industry. I’m particularly looking forward to a couple of the speakers
this afternoon.
