Polonious sponsored the Insurance Industry Investigation of the Year Award at the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI) Awards on March 31st.

It was a pleasure to be involved in this sponsorship and to have the opportunity to review first hand some of the professional work being done in the field.

All of the entries showed great initiative and without exception reached out to use many and varied intelligence resources to support their investigative efforts including extensive use of social media and internet searches.

They were great examples of how tools can make an investigators job easier and deliver information more quickly but are not a replacement for rigorous and skilled investigation. All of these cases delivered significant savings to the insurance carriers that commissioned them and a very impressive return on investment.

Jason Ostrofski from Verifact Investigations was awarded Insurance Industry Investigation of the Year.
